All About Gaithersburg Maryland

INTRODUCTION Gaithersburg originated in 1765 by being known as an agricultural settlement area also known as Log Town by the land purchaser Henry Brookes.   In 1970 after Mr. Brookes passing Benjamin Gaither married Mr. Brookes daughter Margaret and inherited the land which became Gaithersburg by the locals thereafter. . 1.       Gaithersburg Community Museum – is a great place to remanence from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Is full of old photographs, exhibits from the 1800’s to 2000. Various programs offered on a weekly basis and many publications available to read.           2.    Seneca Creek State Park – is a public area of recreation for all to enjoy with over 6,300 acres along Seneca Creek and the Potomac River.
